Joyful Hope. Absolute Healing. Boundless Freedom.

Our Artstory

In 2012, C. Liley McConnell was prompted to use her passion for art and worship as a way to share the love of Jesus Christ that brings healing. She combined her love for children and performing arts and founded Lion of Judah Ministries.  She collaborated with the housing authority, that allowed her to set up an outreach program in public housing community centers.  Liley used creative arts as a way to engage children with classes, events and services free of charge.

Testimonial

“...a very, very positive impact on my child. She has learned to be accountable, study the word of God, dance, life skills, teamwork, praise & worship...you really see and experience the love of God.”

— T.W. , Parent

In 2015, the vision was expanded to Lion of Judah Arts and Worship Center and was incorporated as a state nonprofit in 2017.  Liley opened her home to serve as a safe haven for children (aka "the tribe") to enjoy hot meals, build positive attachments and sustained relationships, express their artistic voice, learn life and leadership skills, improve academics, explore outreach and build a spiritual foundation in the Word of God.

Lion of Judah has helped hundreds of children through free arts, academics, activities and community outreach. Our unique service model shepherds children through programs to help them find hope for a future, healing for their soul, freedom to worship and to be successful in leading a productive life.

Foundation Scripture

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.     Isaiah 61:3
